Geula (Redemption)

Goddess of longing

No one knows exactly where she is or what she looks like - Geula. Every few years a hero appears, claiming to have information about her whereabouts and leading many on a ghost hunt. One saw her on a mountain, a second in the future, and a third in the sky.

The truth is, no one has ever seen Geula.

Geula is a girl goddess. Smart, playful, furtive and transparent. She has a habit of appearing for a glimpse and quickly disappearing, laughing loudly with wonderful childhood sounds. Her favorite games are hide and seek and blind cow. She is excellent at hiding, often falling asleep in her nook and only waking up years later to find that people are still looking for her.

Despite her loneliness and isolation, she takes pleasure in her influence on mortals and wears her role with pride. Without her, humans would wander here and there like hopeless orphans on the streets, at the mercy of strangers.

When Geula gets bored or too moody, she goes to the horizon line to console herself. In these times a fresh breeze blows over humanity and hearts are filled with longing for home and stability, longing for bread fresh from the oven and for rest from searching.
